I saw this video for Ms Mr 's Bones a (very) long time ago (thanks to Neon Gold & The Recommender ) but forgot about it, until Marina & the Diamonds brought it back on my radar earlier this week - and it's been on repeat ever since. Scenes from Labyrinth fit the sultry orchestral pop song perfectly. Grab the boy/girl duo's debut EP Ghost City USA over on Bandcamp .

Wait! Come back! It appears it's time for another hidden musical duo who'd prefer to be obfuscated from view for now. Ms Mr may be a Brooklyn-based duo but I'm betting there's a significant British connection here if the voice is anything to go by - a dab from each of the voice springs of Florence Welch, La Roux and Sophie Ellis Bextor. Musically speaking, the duo's first release is the free downloadable Ghost City USA 4-track EP and it takes in Florence-esque pop elegance with big piano chords. [...]

It was Thomas Edison that once proclaimed, " genius is measured as 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration ". Well, here's a new band that have been working very hard since their birth, only six months ago, at nailing down their intellectual inspirations, so now we're looking to see if they've got the graft. They feel hand-crafted for the UK market, although Ms Mr are actually a boy/girl duo who call New York home, but their initial music is so exceptionally good that we think it's worth giving an extra effort behind them, as we enthusiastically punt [...]
