Having survived comparisons to the Arcade Fire and Beirut, Fanfarlo prove that they are an energetic, witty, and ever-evolving band. In 2009, London's Fanfarlo made their mark in the US upon the release of their full length, Reservoir. The album arrived to mixed reviews (7/10 from PopMatters and a cumulative 71/100 on Metacritic), though this writer would have rated it higher as I had the album on regular rotation. Back in September we shared  Fanfarlo's video for Replicate, which served as a very advance first taste of the UK-based indie-pop act's sophomore album Rooms Filled With Light , which will be released on February 28. Produced by Ben H. Allen , who was the man behind the boards for Animal Collective’s Merriweather Post Pavilion, the record sees the band ditching the odd instrumentation and folkie elements of their debut, which garnered them comparisons to Neutral Milk Hotel, for synths and drum machines. Fanfarlo are on the verge of releasing their sophomoric effort, in the meantime you can grab a view of the collectives latest work "Shiny Things." Video was directed by Tim Nackashi. ' Rooms Filled With Light ' will see daylight on February 27th.

With an album coming out next month ( Amazon ) Fanfarlo share their next set of visuals for "Shiny Things". Although I loved the song, I couldn't help but feel concerned for my friend Rachel who does ballet. Rachel, if you're reading this... be careful. They're after you. Up until yesterday, I thought my only dose of rhythmic gymnastics would come every four years during the Summer Olympics. Turns out I was wrong. The London-based folk-pop outfit Fanfarlo is set to release their new album  Rooms Filled With Light on February 28th, 2012. They teased us in October with a video for the track "Replicate" and are back with a beautifully choreographed routine for "Shiny Things." Fanfarlo have released the promo video for 'Shiny Things', another new song from their forthcoming album 'Rooms Filled With Light', to be released on the 27th of February. This visual comes just in time for the Olympics. But not all that glitters is gold... The video was filmed by Tim Nackashi (who also directed Death Cab for Cutie ’s 'You Are A Tourist' ).
