A song for the broken-hearted. This has been my anthem for the past few weeks. On constant repeat, in my playlist, then in my head. As the R&B song of 2011 eventually gets the video treatment (with Nabil Elderkin directing) it's about time I shared this gem. Frank Ocean - Swim Good

Frank Ocean is one of those rare songwriters that can talk about a sentiment pretty vaguely, and still make it feel deeply personal. It's a talent that made Nostalgia, Ultra the powerful, widely communicable album it became, and "Swim Good" is a perfect example. Why or from what Frank is running (swimming) isn't always clear, but the feeling is one that resonates either way. Granted, adding samurai swords, exploding vintage whips and gorgeous landscapes add some concrete content, but the storyline in Nabil's beautifully directed clip for "Swim Good" isn't exactly easy to follow either. Two new Frank Ocean videos dropped over the past couple days, and boy are they purdy. The first is for "Thinking About You" (above), an official clip directed by High 5 Collective , while the second is for "Swim Good" off of Nostalgia/Ultra . Gotta say it's getting hard keeping up with Frank Ocean and the videos he releases. 2 vids in the past 2 weeks, not bad at all. Here is the latest visual to drop from his highly reputable mixtape 'Nostalgia, ULTRA'.

With visuals shot by Nabil Frank Ocean unleashes the official video for his hit record "Swim Good" off his highly acclaimed nostagia:ULTRA project.

Directed by NABIL, who also directed Frank's Novacane video, this is another great visual for the second single off "Nostalgia, Ultra."

One of my favorite songs from Nostalgia, Ultra gets the video treatment and I'm digging it. NABIL did an excellent job directing this. I just wish Frank would stop running around looking like Daniel-san . Whatever, though. His album was pushed back this Summer, but hopefully it'll drop sometime in the near future. drink the kool aid:
