Rival Schools formed in 1999 and released only one LP before they disbanded in 2003, following the departure of guitarist Ian Love. Aside from the fact that the band members logged time in well-known acts like Quicksand, Gorilla Biscuits, and Youth of Today, the band's only official full-length release, and debut album, United by Fate , became a sort of cult favorite.
