This is an excerpt from Carl Sagan's Pale Blue Dot: A Vision of the Human Future in Space. It talks about the photo of the same name, Pale Blue Dot, taken by Voyager I on February 14, 1990. The movie images as representative of the wonder of nature and human existence are a little short sighted but they don't take away from the power and truth of Carl Sagan's words.
