Blondes: "Wine" [ mp3 ] Brooklyn-based duo Blondes , Sam Haar and Zach Steinman, will release their self-titled debut album on February 7th on the New York label RVNG Intl and now you can download the great track "Wine" for free. The album also include ten remixes by JD Twitch of Optimo, Dungeon Acid, SFV Acid, John Roberts, Andy Stott, Teengirl Fantasy, Bicep, and more. Watch the video for "Wine" below:

Blondes released one of my favourite tracks of 2011 with 'Lover' , a big slice of euphoric dance music which harks back to the sprawling lengths of old. Similarly dark and long, 'Wine' is taken from the duo's last release of the year in November on RVNG , the completion of a trilogy of singles which went 'Lover / Hater', 'Business / Pleasure' and 'Wine / Water'. The video is pretty insane.There's a Teengirl Fantasy remix of the track too:

Blondes, the duo of Sam Haar and Zach Steinman, will release their self-titled debut album for RVNG Intl. on February 7, 2012. Blondes earliest beginnings were in 2003 when the duo met while studying electroacoustic composition and studio art at Oberlin College. Chances are, a good few of you reading this have no idea who Blondes are before opening up this post, and the last thing you'd expect is a duo of guys, neither of whom are blonde. In my update yesterday I forgot to mention that I also caught Blondes ' set at Cameo with Lemonade for FIXED's 7 Year Anniversary on Halloween weekend (headliner Gold Panda was unable to make it to NYC because of the freak snow storm). I've been watching this video a lot this week. It's a simple one camera deal, but has the added advantage of being attached to the International Space Station and pointed down at the Earth. Sped up to show various views of our planet as the ISS orbits us, we get to see the Northern Lights, lightning storms, and populations density all from above. As I say, it bears repeat viewings.
