Video: Darkside - A1

Some interesting visuals from Nicolas Jaar and guitarist Dave Harrington, a.k.a. Darkside, on the track "A1," which comes from the duo's recent collaborative EP .

The opener of DARKSIDE's wonderful EP got a video this week that looks like what your weird friends think they're doing when they go out to the desert. It follows three apocalyptic monks on a quest to find things that shine in a way that works well with Nicolas Jaar's eerily propellant and open "A13 - watch the video below.

When Nicolas Jaar isn't busy churning out full length albums, EPs , college degrees, and music on a cube , he makes time for his band Darkside .  It may have snuck under the radar in the shadow of his other releases, but Darkside's self-titled EP is certainly worth its fair share of listens. Here EP cut "A13 gets the video treatment, and it's a doozie. The video plays out like a highly stylized Star Wars meets Dune story of sand people on a feverish search for a gem set to the tune of classy electronic [...]

The title of this song made me hungry for some steak, but it also made my eyes and ears satisfied thanks to Nicolas Jaar and his guitarist Dave Harrington who released an EP under the name Darkside a few months back. The standout track has always been "A1" (Not too be confused with the steak sauce, like my corny intro suggested), and now we have some interesting visuals to go along with it. I chose this song as my alarm clock this morning and here we are, a brand new video to the song. Taken from Nicolas Jaar's rather excellent collaboration with Dave Harrington as Darkside , Ryan Staake of Pomp & Clout 's widescreen video's sandy parched landscapes and robed figures remind me of the Jawas in Star Wars. Darkside , Nicolas Jarr's project with Dave Harrington, released a new video for the track A1 , off last year's Darkside EP. The video was directed by Pomp & Clout , who do tour visuals for Jarr, as well.
