The video for Drake’s “The Motto”, the iTunes bonus track from Take Care and the most dance-friendly track of the album, was released Thursday. Shot in and around San Francisco, the video features cameos from E-40, Mistah F.A.B. and the late Mac Dre’s mother. The song is pretty great and the low-key cruising-and-partying vibe of the video suits its hyphy-lite sound well. While I could totally do without Lil Wayne and Tyga, Drake's "The Motto" remains one of my favorite songs of 2011. Is there any denying that this T-Minus beat is damn near perfect for the members of Young Money? I really can't think of a better bonus track in recent memory, either. "The Motto" has easily become one of the most memorable tracks off Canadian singer/rapper  Drake 's Take Care  album, which was one of the best selling albums of 2011. A couple weeks back, the Young Money team leaked behind the scenes footage of the making of "The Motto" visuals and now the official video has been released. Drizzy and his YMCMB brethren take to the Bay area to provide visuals to the radio hit/bonus track off Take Care "The Motto" . With some opening words from Mac Dre's mother, guest appearances by E-40 and F.A.B., and awesome shots of the Golden Gate bridge this video represents the Bay through and through. I still don't get Drake's obsession with batting gloves, but the video is still pretty cool.

You only live once, and if you're a member of Drake's crew, you live large. The Take Care MC let's us know he's "the f*ckin' man" and "25 sittin' on 25 mill" while he drives through the day and night in his "The Motto" video. We feel sorry for anyone that releases anything today. Not because the music world is just one big 'Out of Office' reply right now, but mainly due to The Weeknd releasing his latest mixtape. We doubt Drake will get overlooked though, especially when he drops a video of him and his buddies (including Lil' Wayne) having fun in the bay in the video for 'The Motto'. Great track (probably the best on the album) and a pretty bog-standard video.
