Holograms - ABC City VIDEO Holograms are a band out of Stockholm, Sweden and have just released their debut self-titled album via Captured Tracks . Their sound is very rough, raw and edgy and has had me comparing them a tad bit to bands like The Horrors and The Libertines. It does have the early 80's punk feel to it but at the same time it comes off as something more modern and that is a perfect fit for 2012. Holograms - ABC City review They may come from the land of flatpacked furniture and sugary pop but Sweden's Holograms pack a punk punch with their debut on Brooklyn's uberhip Captured Tracks label. The guttural vocals, pounding percussion and manic three chord riffs might give the impression of a simple unsophisticated approach but it's the buzzing keyboards that effectively add the 'post' prefix to this punk. Whether I'll still want to listen to in six weeks time is debatable but here, right now, these two tracks are intense and invigorating.

"ABC City" comes from the single of the same name , which is out on April 3rd. Cop this, it's a rocker.
