Atmosphere is the duo of rapper Slug and DJ/producer Ant . They have been active and creating some of the purest hip hop since in the early 90's. To this day, they are still doing their thing. Although they do things in the unconventional way, it makes them who they are. So a new music video for "Became" would not have a typical format, but it is an interesting visual. Watch below. Fresh? Atmosphere isn't your typical rap duo, so why settle for a typical rap video? They never have, and they continue the creativity with this one. From October 2011 to January 2012 a music video was collaboratively made for the song "Became" by Atmosphere. The goal was to create an engaging educational experience with students as the focal point. The result, a collaboration story with The Minnesota School of Business, MTS Digital Media Academy, Rhymesayers Entertainment, Visumm Media, Alex Horner Pictures, Hickey Photography, Hanson Creative Group, Justin Staggs, Jeremy Wanek, Tom Okins, Nick Mihalevich, and Cinequipt.

As I have detailed in previous posts , Atmosphere's music video for "Became" was created in conjunction with the Minnesota School and Business and the Minnesota Transitions High School’s Digital Media Academy. The video was officially released today. Watch it above, and if you haven't done so yet, be sure to watch the mini-documentary chronicling the making of the music video .

Starting back in October, Atmosphere, Rhymesayers, The Minnesota School of Business as well as a select group of High School and College students got together to create an engaging video that focused on educational experiences. Damn, and here I thought the Cool Kids' video for " Rush Hour Traffic " was rad. OK, it still is, but Atmosphere has now taken the throne for best video of 2012. It's for "Became", one of many highlights off last year's damn-good The Family Sign  that we somehow missed out on reviewing. Sigh. But we're not about to make that same mistake twice, if only because the "Became" visuals are that goddamn amazing. I know that word gets thrown around a lot these days - what hyperbolic term doesn't? - but yeah, just, wow. [...]
