Now this looks really rather interesting.  Not cheap, perhaps, but interesting.  Actually, let me rephrase that because it's not entirely fair. A subscription of 80 Canadian dollars seems like a lot, but I can promise you that for a manufacturing run of 12 lots of 250 73 singles, that's a pretty reasonable price actually. And if you look at the stuff Kingfisher Bluez will be releasing on this run of (one-sided) singles, then it becomes an even more interesting proposition. More from the latest round of quality releases to emerge from L.A.'s Not Not Fun camp: here's the title track from the debut cassette from Vancouver's Crystal Dorval , aka White Poppy , out now on the label. Dorval's sweet + blurry submerged melodies occasionally recall a slightly poppier Grouper, as heard on this appropriately gauzy clip for the tape's closing lullaby, " I Had a Dream ."

White Poppy, the solo project of Vancouver's Crystal Dorval, delivers a blissful exercise in looped guitars and clouded, glimmering outré pop.
