Oh my lawd, this video might just completely overshadow this very odd but very cool cover of the Roberta Flack standard, "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" by oddball, Oklahoma City-based ( go Thunder !) alternative rock group, The Flaming Lips and the equally oddball soul singer, Erykah Badu . I know the nude shots are actually of Badu's sister, Nayrock but, after her last controversial video , "Window Seat" , this is just further evidence and reinforcement to me of why Common, 3-Stacks and Jay [...]

This is definitely a interesting collabration and is further supported by the intriguing George Salisbury directed video. Although it seems as if we get a naked view of Erykah, the actual star of the video is Badu's sister, Nayrok.

The Flaming Lips ' Record Store Day epic The Flaming Lips and Heady Fwends featured a great collaborative effort with Erykah Badu titled "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face," and today they've put forth the NSFW visuals for the track. The George Salisbury-directed clip features Badu's sister Nayrok naked and covered in blood and glitter. Watch it above. The Flaming Lips and Heady Fwends will be re-released digitally and on CD on June 26th via Warner Bros. Records.
