Aussie band Royal Headache plays the Burlington in Logan Square Thursday night. It's a lively band worth checking out.
Trust me, the name is misleading. What's Your Rupture, 2012 7.8 / 10.0 Royal Headache’s self-titled album, released last year but is just now getting a stateside release, is a weird little beast—though it is a rock album, its scant length (26 minutes, with the longest [...]

Words by Brendan There's nary a moment of let-up in Royal Headache 's self-titled debut. Guitar, bass, and drums all kick in at 0:01 on opener "Never Again" with maximum energy and seriously hookiness, and exactly 30 seconds later, the vocals join in and grab you and you know you're listening to something new and special. Far from being an "in your face" heavy punk record, though, this is actually soulful garage pop, scuzzy and lo-fi and rumbling in all the right places, while the vocals are deeply steeped in Motown hits. Y dentro de una semana hay nuevo mixtape, por si acaso. 10| The Jezabels - Prisoner [...]
