If By Yes is a sort of alternative rock supergroup featuring members from the now defunct That Dog and Cibo Matto, with special guest turns from David Byrne and Wilco guitarist Nels Cline. If By Yes is the product of two major-label bands that were also-rans in the great 1990s alternative rock sweepstakes.
