Video: Virus Syndicate - Slow Down

Tonight's installment of Get Low during Shake at the Vagabond will be invaded by Brits and their bloody "grime". MRK1 will be accompanying the Virus Syndicate collective alongside Get Low resident DJs Juan BassHead, Wreck, Dean, Ashworth, and MCs Jumanji and The Nome. The groups musical styling is a sort of mish-mash between dance hall, dubstep and gangsta rap, producing incredibly high energy, low bass dance tracks that are somewhat reminiscent of Brazil's balle funk sound, but peppered with that dirty UK feel. I've been up and down on the whole UK grime movement and I still think the best UK MC's ever were Rodney P and Bionic the London Posse . Right now though, I'm in the camp of "I don't give a fcck about grime" but Dizzee Rascal is a featured artist on what's likely to be the #1 album next week (BTW, congrats to Common ) and my homegirl just put me up on this video by (new?)
