The idea of Weezer covering Radiohead may be offensive to some people, but once upon a time Weezer were a great band, like, really great. In fact that time was around 1997 when Radiohead released the "Paranoid Android"-containing OK Computer , so maybe this harking back to the golden age may not be exactly what fans wanted, but it's still enjoyable. Weezer has completed a studio recording of Radiohead 's 'Paranoid Android'. The band played the cover live for the first time at Atlantic City's Borgata Events Center on Friday, May 27.

According to NME Weezer just played a cover of Radiohead's "Paranoid Android" for the first time during a show in Atlantic City on Friday (May 27). Rivers Cuomo is clearly enamored by his band's version of the track as they've just posted an in-studio take of it on YouTube, which you can check out above. They haven't really attempted to Weezer-ify it, which is a shame—in fact, this is a very faithful version of the song, except for Cuomo's nasal-y vocals

Weezer played the Radio 104.5 Birthday show last Friday with a pretty sweet set. This weekend they released a black and white studio session where they covered the classic Radiohead jam "Paranoid Android". Pretty good version of the track. Rivers sounds pretty good covering a Thom Yorke tune. Maybe he should try doing a few more.

While we were dancing with Action Beat et Suuns during the festival La Villette Sonique this weekend, Weezer dropped a cover of Paranoid Android by Radiohead that you can watch below. The video is pretty indigestible but it's worth watching just for seeing Rivers Cuomo and his band having fun covering it.

I have a great idea! Instead of releasing new music Weezer should, from here on out, only record unexpected and wacky covers. In Vegas. Dressed as the Village People. Weezer recently covered Radiohead's "Paranoid Android" in the studio (they've also done Gaga and MGMT in the past), and I must say they did a pretty good job. But it's not enough for me. I need more. Hér að ofan er, að ég best veit, nýleg upptaka af lúða-rokkurunum Weezer þar sem þeir flytja Radiohead -slagarann Paranoid Android" með miklum bravör. Weezer es una banda que tiene seguidores en absolutamente todo el mundo pero que no es demasiado mainstream . Muchos atribuyen este éxito en el under porque cada una de sus producciones modifica su estilo tal es así que meterlos bajo un estilo sería prácticamente imposible. Sea como sea, el talento y calidad a la hora de crear música que tiene Cuomo y compañía es perfecto.
