Listen to John Mayer's New Single

NEW John Mayer - Who Says (ALBUM VERSION)
Pop/Rock/Blues artist John Mayer (www.johmayer.com) recently released a new single off of his upcoming album Battle Studies entitled "Who Says." It's a pretty straightforward short acoustic song, mixing soft acoustic picking with some light vocals, drums and a brief piano interlude. It also reminds me a lot of another one of his acoustic ballads, "Stop this Train" off of Continuum. The lyrics are introspective and confident but at times have an almost depressing feel to them, which surprised me for a Mayer song. I do have to wonder, however, what word the radio programmers of this Mary Jane-averse nation will swap out for the word "stoned," which is a crucial part of the song's verse and refrain. Phoned? Cloned? P'Zoned? (Hey, two of those could be transformed into ads!) Clip after the jump. [...]
