St Vincent will release brand-new tracks to celebrate this year's Record Store Day. The two new tracks are entitled 'KROKODIL' and 'GROT' and "showcases Clark's aggressive guitar chops and marks a stylistic departure from Strange Mercy." Record Store Day takes place on 21st April. Annie Clark and co will also release a deluxe edition of Strange Mercy, titled Stranger Mercy. In September, St Vincent released a third album, Strange Mercy, on 4AD. Annie Clark is a music virtuoso and an incredible songwriter. She can also shred on guitar as evident in Surgeon from this performance recorded at Brooklyn's Shangri-La studios. St. Vincent performs four tracks from the album "Strange Mercy" in a new 4AD Session. The performance clocks in around 15 minutes and includes "Chloe in the Afternoon", "Surgeon", "Strange Mercy", and "Year of the Tiger". My personal favorites are Surgeon and Strange Mercy. Click here to view the embedded video. As we eagerly lie in wait for St. Vincent ’s London show on 10 November, 4AD have revealed the recent session they recorded with the talented songstress. Recorded at Brooklyn’s Shangri-La Studios and directed by Jane Pollard and Iain Forsyth, the footage features four tracks from the brilliant full length album  Strange Mercy:  ‘Surgeon’, ‘Chloe in the Afternoon’ ‘Strange Mercy’ and ‘Year of the Tiger’.

Annie Clark plays four songs from her new album Strange Mercy in the latest 4AD session - 'Chloe In The Afternoon', 'Surgeon', 'Strange Mercy' and 'Year Of The Tiger'. Her new band consists of Daniel Mintseris (keys), Toko Yasuda (moog) and Matthew Johnson (drums). It was shot at Shangri-La Studios in Brooklyn. St. Vincent plays The Button Factory on November 13th.
