
i get mixed emotions when i think of jay-z . part of me believes he's a hustler turned humanitarian- using his status to raise awareness for suffering people. what a refreshing departure from the normal (eat-itself-alive) rap ethic that would be. on the other hand, i feel like jay-z's whole world leader brand may be a big PR stunt concocted by the 100's of people on jay's brand's payroll. either way, at the heart of it, is a beautiful juxtaposition. glam-trash. the bottom line is this: jay has delivered many ass-shaking tracks that stand the test of [...]
