The War On Drugs dropped by Letterman last night and performed their track 'Come To The City' from their great album Slave Ambient. Just an amazing live act and a band that rightfully deserves more attention then they are currently getting.

The War on Drugs also made an appearance on the late night circuit last night. They visited the Ed Sullivan Theater and David Letterman to put in a performance of their track "Come to the City" which features on Slave Ambient , their latest studio release. Check it out at the top of the page. Late night TV the world over is pretty damn good at the moment huh?!

The War on Drugs left nothing behind at the Ed Sullivan Theater during their performance on the Letterman show. TWOD performed "Come to the City," a sprawling track off of "Slave Ambient" that conjures up that slow tune off of old U2 albums, i.e. "Running to Standstill." The live take last night included sax and horn players to make an already gutty song even better. You know it was a great performance when Paul Schaeffer is giving you a hi-five and David Letterman wanting to buy your drum kit. the War on Drugs [...]

A lot of strong acts played the U.S. 'late night' circuit last night, including The War On Drugs, Ben Kweller and Poliça - though it was definitely the latter of the three the stole the show (or networks as it were) as they marked their U.S. television debut with a performance on Fallon. Watch the band perform 'Leading to Death' (from the fantastic Give You The Ghost ) as well as The War On Drugs ('Come to the City') and Ben Kweller ('Mean to Me').
