Arcade Fire's Neon Bible has already leaked, people are dancing in the streets, and I found a strange video on the official Arcade Fire myspace page: And speaking of the official arcade fire myspace page, did you ever notice who's myspace profile comes up when you type in www.myspace.com/arcadefire ?
So I just finished a lengthy discussion with some people online who remarked to me that they've never heard any version of The Arcade Fire's track "No Cars Go." Well, for the unaware, a NEW version of the song will be appearing on the band's upcoming album "Neon Bible," and considering that it's one of the more interesting and cool tracks the band has done, I figured I'd give all of you a version to have and enjoy. Let me make it clear that this is NOT the "Neon Bible" version, nor is this version taken from the [...]
Arcade Fire julkaisee toisen albuminsa Neon Bible 5. maaliskuuta. Kovasti odotetun levyn ensimmäistä singleä Black Mirror voi käydä kuuntelemassa yhtyeen kotisivuilla (siellä Win/Win's Scapbook) tai The Hype Machinen kautta . Suureellinen ja jyrisevä kappale lupaa hyvää. Ohessa levyn kappaletiedot, joissa huomioitavaa on se, että levy sisältää ilmeisesti uudelleen tehdyn version kappaleesta No Cars Go , joka löytyy alun perin vuonna 2003 ilmestyneeltä ep:ltä . Black Mirror Keep the Car Running [...]
We're not scientists here at Prefix, but it's been clear to pretty much everyone that the anticipation meters for Neon Bible , the Arcade Fire's follow-up to 2003's Funeral , have been steadily on the rise all across the music world for some time now. Today, everybody's favorite earnest misfits utilized the power of Youtube to drive those gauges even higher, providing fans with a unique album release date and tracklist announcement. In a clip entitled "Juno Award Winning Guitarist," a masked man holding a megaphone and purporting to be Arcade Fire guitarist Richard Reed Parry [...]
I admit that I've become a bit obsessed with all of this new album buzz and promotion but this was just too great not to comment. Headless Ponch has been all over details and the latest is the band's announcement of album details (11 songs) and release date (March 6 in the U.S.) in the form of an infomercial on YouTube. This is pure marketing genuis... [...]
Its not exactly a 'classic' video but it is from the absolutely fantastic Arcade Fire (its also pretty funny) and highlights what looks set to be one hell of a Sophomore non-slump and P'fork has been good enough to post up the tracklisting for this hopefully excellent album which is: 01 Black Mirror 02 Keep the Car Running 03 Neon Bible 04 Intervention 05 Black Wave/ Bad Vibrations 06 Ocean of Noise 07 The [...]
Arcade Fire have unveiled details of their forthcoming album, Neon Bible. They've also made the above video thing that will haunt my dreams forever more. The tracklisting: Black Mirror Keep The Car Running Neon Bible Intervention Black Wave/Bad Vibrations Ocean Of Noise The Well & The Lighthouse (Antichrist Television Blues) Windowsill No Cars Go My Body Is A Cage It's out on the 5th of March, preceded by the single Black Mirror.
Just watched this bizarre 'infomercial', if you will for Neon Bible . In it, the ENTIRE TRACKLIST is featured, as are most of the lyrics to all the new songs. Also, word just leaked that the album will get its official release March 6th! Who else is suffering from extreme baited breath?
Arcade Fire Olympia Theatre, Dublin Monday 5th & Tuesday 6th March 2007. €42.50 It's the start of their European tour . Good luck trying to get tickets everyone.. Monday's date is on sale THIS Friday.. Oh and this... courtesy of the effervescent Stereogum , a infomerical for Neon Bible. The album will feature a re-recorded version of "No Cars Go". Tracklisting: [...]
So I saw this over at Stereogum, thought you should be checking this one out if you're the least big of an Arcade Fire fan. It's a clip like the one's you'd see advertising "greatest country singers with cocaine beards" or something like that in the middle of the afternoon... the biggest revelation for me here is that the new album is going to feature a revamp of "No Cars Go," a song from their
This is odd, but mildly entertaining. It's Arcade Fire's new promo video. Several clips of tracks are featured from the forthcoming record. YouTube....
A YouTuber with a name conspicuously similar to Arcade Fire's forthcoming record uploaded a faux-infomercial, hosted by "Juno Award winning guitarist Richard Reed Perry of the Arcade Fire." Song clips! Tracklisting! Release date! Act now! (Thanks, Joe!) Tracklisting?01. Black Mirror...
Whoever thought of promoting Neon Bible like this (and the other mysterious ways) is a marketing genius. Right now you can pick up "Intervention" from iTunes (if you haven't already) and you can listen to another new song and Arcade Fire's first single from their new album, "Black Mirror," at ArcadeFire.com . Just click on Win's name, then on "Win's Scrapbook," then on the little bird to hear the track. Here's the artwork for that single: And last but not [...]
Back in 1998, the Beastie Boys secretly started promoting Hello Nasty with infomercials on random public access television...
Arcade Fire melden sich via Youtube.
They announce the release date, March 6th for US of A!!!!, and give the tracklisting in a decade greatest hits infomercial delivery. Yes, Yes, Yes. "Black Mirror" must be one of the weaker songs for sure, because the clips they play are boss.
