Have you ever had a moment where a piece of art immediately captures your attention and you can't take your eyes off of it? Passion Pit have taken that a step further in the video for the latest Gossamer single " I'll Be Alright ". The band teamed up with Genero.tv for a contest, giving fans the chance to create a music video for the song. The winning video sees an art museum security guard falling in love with a triangular golden art piece, which happens to be very good at two things, singing and making [...]

Passion Pit releases their video of a security taking a trip through some contemporary art visuals. Looking a little bit like Borat, the guard finds himself in quite the psychedelic journey. "I'll Be Alright," will be featured on Passion Pits Album Gossamer .

A little while ago, Vice ran a series of interviews with security guards at the Whitney Biennial, asking them what they thought of the pieces of contemporary art on display. That's a subject I've long wondered about. And in their video for the dizzy single " I'll Be Alright ," Passion Pit also tackle the question, after a fashion. In the video (the winner of a Genereo.tv competition), a guard pops a couple of pills and then starts thinking that a piece of minimal art is singing to him. He responds, um, accordingly. Os Passion Pit têm um novo álbum na calha. Gossamer , que pode ser ouvido na íntegra aqui , chega às lojas a 24 de Julho. Entretanto a banda lançou o resultado de um concurso em parceria com a Genero.Tv para a criação do vídeo do single "I'll Be Alright", que não podia ser mais bizarro. Aliás, até podia, com as coisas que se vêem hoje em dia pela internet. Mas voltando ao que interessa. O vídeo acompanha a história de um segurança de museu aborrecido que se apaixona por um quadro exposto na galeria(?!), [...]

Algumas exposições de arte contemporânea são famosas por apresentarem objetos que muitas vezes não são compreendidos por grande parte dos visitantes. No clipe do Passion Pit para I’ll Be Alright , a arte exposta em uma pequena sala de paredes brancas ganha vida de forma inusitada. Ou pelo menos essa é a escapatória que o guarda responsável pela exposição dá para acabar com o tédio do lugar. A faixa faz parte de Gossamer , álbum que será lançado no próximo dia 16.

Passion Pit have released their brand new video for 'I'll Be Alright', taken from their brand new album 'Gossamer'. The track comes from their forthcoming album 'Gossamer' which is set for release on the 24th July through Columbia Records. Even though Passion Pit just cancelled their upcoming tour due to singer Michael Angelakos' declining mental health, that's not stopping them from dropping the videos they had lined up. They started a contest to find the next video for their track "I'll Be Alright" with the prize being $3,000 and judging by the winner's entry, it would've been a difficult submission to top.
