Odd Future performed last night at the Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC. The concert was special for a number of reasons, and most importantly because it was the crew's first reunited with Earl Sweatshirt. It will be interesting to watch Odd Future now at full strength, and finally see what Earl Sweatshirt can do. Last night Odd Future came to New York City. After seeing Earl Sweatshirt back with the group in the "Oldie" video , it was pretty clear that the kid everyone has missed for so long was finally going to join his crew on stage. Last night, Odd Future played a show at New York's Hammerstein Ballroom. And for the first time ever, the long-absent Earl Sweatshirt joined them onstage, to general pandemonium. Earl disappeared to a Samoan reform school almost two years ago, just before Odd Future made their internet-addled breakthrough; they weren't even playing shows when he left. And it's a whole lot of fun to watch him get to soak in all that adulation for the first time, and for the rest of the crew to enjoy the moment. To follow up last night's report on Earl Sweatshirt joining the rest off Odd Future in Manhattan Center's Hammerstein Ballroom, we now have a decent quality fan-shot video of the crew performing the ten-minute-long "Oldie" from The OF Tape Vol.2 . Midway through Earl's killer verse, twenty-some Odd Future members piled onto the stage to surround Earl in support of his first major live show. Enjoy.
