
After winning all sorts of praise for his excellent Section.80 mix tape last year, Compton kid Kendrick Lamar has just set off on tour with fellow blog dah-lings A$AP Rocky and Drake. But instead of celebrating with a bottle of bubbly or a nice cup of tea (or however it is that hip hop folk celebrate these days), he's decided to let off a new tune for the masses to tuck into. The good folks over at Potholes In My Blog have dug up a new Kendrick Lamar song that they think is destined to be on his first "proper" album, Good Kid in a Mad City . Check it out below.
While Kendrick Lamar 's Section.80 landed at the number two spot on our top albums of 2011 , it wasn't actually a "proper" album. With that said, Kendrick plans on dropping that official debut full-length this year, and we speculate that "Cartoon & Cereal" has a strong chance of landing on that project. Backed by incredibly spacy production, Lamar sprays abstract, thought provoking lyrics with two other unidentified vocalists. The female almost sounds like Erykah Badu, actually.
