This week's worth of videos is dedicated to Grizzly Bear's amazing single "Two Weeks" off their new release Veckatimest . I think this is one of the best songs of the year and when I need something to lift me up I blast this and sing as if I were an entire orchestra and choir. It's powerful stuff. They just released their video for this and it is just fantastic. But, I did like another video other than the one they released which I feel, captures the soul and optimism of the song better than the official [...]

Let me preface this by saying I've never been a big fan of Grizzly Bear . I also must, at the same time, state that I had never given them much of a chance. I believe my only experience with the band was a video or two that I had seen on Subterranean. I don't quite recall which song(s) I may have heard, but nevertheless I was none too impressed and therefore did not attempt to learn more about the band. Recently I came upon a video of the band playing their song Two Weeks. [...]
From the guy that spliced together a cowboy film and my body is a cage in 2007 and all I need and wild life footage in 2008 , here is two weeks spliced together with La Ballon Rouge. Brilliant, and how good is the song? from Booooom again.
Chicago designer J Tyler Helms edited footage from French filmmaker Albert Lamorisse's classic short La Ballon Rouge ( The Red Balloon ) for an unofficial but delightful companion video for Grizzly Bear's "Two Weeks." Lamorisse's use of special effects are pretty amazing for 1956. Grizzly Bear - "Two Weeks" (Fred Falke remix)
Grizzly Bear who I've posted about almost every day this week and released the first single off their much anticipated album "Veckatimest". They have already shot a video for the single in Los Angeles and it was directed by Patrick Daughters and is waiting to be released.... Click the link to read more
Most fan-made videos tend to either a image-heavy YouTube rendering created in seven minutes, a melding of footage from a seemingly incongrous movie with the song at hand. This fan made video for Grizzly Bear's excellent "Two Weeks" is the king of fan made videos (except for those cool Girl Talk video mash-ups that are all over the YouTube): it mixes the beautiful song with Albert Lamorisse's Le Ballon Rogue , a movie about a boy and his red balloon. Unlike most fan-made clips, this thing actually looks like it could be band-ordered, if it wasn't for the [...]
Couple videos for you today Check De La Soul's video press kit that came with their debut album 3 Feet High and Rising. There's a lot to like in this video; I really enjoyed KRS-One's bit where he was so clearly stoked on De La's music (via PSFK ) Grizzly Bear circa May 2009 is the new Animal Collective circa January 2009. Jokes aside, there's GB stuff everywhere these days. I highly recommend Ed Droste's Twitter feed if you're [...]

We've shown you the video of them playing it live at SxSW . There are a ton of fan tribute videos for it. It features possibly our favorite guest vocalist and we're even giving away copies of it on both CD and vinyl , so damnit, we're just going to play the song that everyone can't stop creaming their pants over . Even though I've probably heard Grizzly Bear's "Two Weeks" a hundred times now, I still love listening to it. Jtylerhelms feels the same way and is much more talented than me. He created an unofficial video from editing footage from Albert Lamorisse's " Le Ballon Rouge " (The Red Balloon). Check it out. ( via ) Grizzly Bear starts their tour in a couple of weeks and will be performing at The Parish here in Austin on June 16th . Hopefully you already bought your [...]

Technically summer doesn't start until next month, but my long tenure in college and regular association with students leads me to consider May as the beginning of the summer. To celebrate the coming of the season, I'm about to take a nice little week vacation at the beach, so I figured I would leave you readers with a summery mixtape to jam while I'm gone. Here at Ohmpark we have some exciting things coming soon. Bonnaroo is now less than a month away and we will have total coverage for you. Then Corndogorama is right around the corner. And after [...]
