Filed under: News John Gichigi, Getty Images Although Liam Gallagher has a new band going in Beady Eye , there is still only one topic of conversation on his mind: Oasis . They may have broken up some 18 months ago, but in an interview with the Guardian ostensibly about Beady Eye, Liam Gallagher opened up, (partially) taking sharing the blame with his older brother Noel for the [...]

Between 2002 and 2009, Oasis went through quite a few changes, losing band members, getting new members, being attacked, car crashes, releasing good and bad albums, releasing their last album and most notably, "splitting up". I put that in quotation marks because noel quit the band and any reincarnation or continuation that Liam does will likely not be under the Oasis moniker. They released three albums and ten singles between 2002 and 2009, some of which are below. The Hindu Times: Stop Crying Your Heart Out: [...]
Ontem à noite em Paris, a mítica banda do Britpop cancelou, numa semana, o seu segundo concerto em festivais e separou-se. Será que desta é de vez? O mano Noel fez a seguinte declaração dia 28 de... [[ This is a content summary only. Visit my website for full links, other content, and more! ]]
Como por ejemplo, "The Shock of the Lightning".Oasis - The Shock of the Lightning:Pues eso, que si vuelven un

A review of Manchester big mouths' new album-for fans only. The rest of you can carry on listening to !!! or The Cool Kids.

It's another very good week of new releases (thanks fall release schedule!) and we'll start it off with everyone's favorite constantly fueding British siblings... You'll feel the shock of the lightning today, but what else doth the day bring? Oasis - Dig Out Your Soul The reviews have been perfectly mediocre thus far, but the Oasis-heads seem pleased with the record and that's really all that matters at this stage in their career, no? If they're coming to [...]

Big Brother Recordings – 29th September 2008 – CD, 7" & Download The normally placid Noel Gallagher has spent a hefty part of the summer months openly bad-mouthing some of the biggest names in the music biz. There's already been a bust up Stateside (sort of), whispers of a change of direction and premature talk of kid brother Liam leaving the country for good. Now there's a growing call-to-arms taking over the nations airwaves and every magazine on the newsagents [...]
There's not much point pretending they're still especially relevant, but to music fans of a certain age (hi!) Oasis will always mean something.
I am really starting to get pumped for the new Oasis a lbum ...here is the video for the first single which I think is pretty good...except it seems that Liam is back with the Richard III haircut again. The opening shot of the video is an homage to this famous Rolling Stones cover :
Oasis - "The Shock of Lightning" Though Terminal 5 is hardly a "club" in the traditional sense, I guess some people will find this show kind of appealing. Personally, it'd probably take Tom Waits or the Rolling Stones to get me back to T5. Oasis is pleased to announce a rare club show in New York prior to the release of their upcoming album. This intimate show will take place at Manhattan's Terminal 5 on Friday, September 12th . [...]

Okay, we're not going to be dicks and totally keep up the whole "everyone hates Oasis " thing because, well, they write really good pop songs. There's no more denying that can be done. The band has made a career out of the creation of near-lowest-common-denominator rock hits that span the mainstream and even could well be on the indie tip, too. And even though a cutesy line like "Love is a time machine" is the coda for the song, "The Shock Of The Lightning" is everything you could want from an Oasis song: powerful guitars, [...]
Not bad, but I couldn't help but think of this:
The new video for Oasis' first single "Shock of the Lightning" off their 10/6 release Dig Out Your Soul is floating around. I'm kind of excited about this album because I really liked Don't Believe the Truth . Anyways, check it out and let us know what you think.
