Video: Justice - New Lands (Official Music Video)

Justice have really outdone themselves with their latest music video. The "New Lands" video, financed by Red Bull Music, is set in some sort of futuristic colosseum as thousands of fans and a sinister group of owners watch their teams compete. Two teams do battle in a sport that can only be described as: baseball meets Tron meets  Rollerball  meets American football meets Gladiator . It might just be the coolest sport ever invented. Justice 's 'New Lands' is, as should be expected, quite a banger. (Frankly, it's too bad the Olympics aren't in France this year, because I think it sounds a whole lot better than that Muse single.) What's not to love about a futuristic one-eyed Rollerballing fighter in some kind of bizarro Escape From New York  world soundtracked by one hell of a catchy tune. We say nothing. You can pick up the new Justice album  here .

Children today may be inactive, but Justice 's video for "New Lands" predicts a future (albeit a retro-looking one) where we won't have to be concerned about sports and physical activity fading into obscurity. In fact, sports in the future will essentially be hybrids of the most physically-demanding sports, making physical activity in the future XTREME. Justice 's new video for "New Lands" (Directed by Canada) feels like a cut scene from the 1987 classic The Running Man , while SebastiAn 's remix, released last month via  Ed Banger , brings us back to the glory days of dance music; obviously I'm referring to the 2007—2009 era. We first heard the smoothened AC/DC bath of "New Lands" from last year's Audio, Video, Disco in October , and Justice has stretched the track's release cycle ever since: They dropped A-Trak and Falcon remixes this summer, and today there's a Canada-directed official video. Seemingly continuing on from Justice's tie-up with Adidas, the French duo's new video continues their rather bizarre love-affair with American sports. We were all teased with a trailer of Justice's Newlands clip not too long ago and as soon as a date was placed on the release of the official video, I won't lie I did write it in to my calendar.
