Passion Pit have given us a nice little boost to a Tuesday with the release of their third track off the upcoming, "Gossamer" album. They've stripped it back, slowed it down, given us a good old soul filled ballad! "Gossamer" due 24th July 2012.

I made a comment on Twitter this afternoon about how this new Passion Pit song sounds like a track from POP ETC 's new album. After "Take A Walk" and "I'll Be Alright" ,   "Constant Conversations" is the glossiest of R&B-Pop jams we've heard yet, much like the whole sound of POP ETC self-titled new album , yet when POP ETC do it they get their shit torn [...]

In a big day for song debuts, Passion Pit released a third track off their upcoming album Gossamer , due out July 24 via Columbia Records. The song, titled "Constant Conversations," is somewhat of an indie R&B ballad - a bit slower, albeit just as sparkly, than what we've come to expect from the electro-pop quintet. The previous releases from Passion Pit 's upcoming Gossamer have been, in my opinion, mleh. Nothing extraordinary from the high-falsetto pop group. However, "Constant Conversations" stands out a little stronger, and a little slower and more methodical than "Take a Walk" and "I'll Be Alright." New Passion Pit song off their upcoming album Gossamer . The project has been buzzing around the industry as the sophomore effort to their break out album Manners . Passion Pit has been bouncing around stylistically with the recent material that has been released and "Constant Conversations," is no different.

Passion Pit's follow-up album Gossamer is creeping towards it's release date on July 24th, and the band has dished out another preview for our listening pleasure. Going the opposite route of the only other tracks we know on the album  in "Take A Walk" and "I'll Be Alright", "Constant Conversations" injects this never-before-heard R&B influence. I'm really trying to figure out why this works - if anyone has any insight, don't be shy. Passion Pit + R&B sounds like a recipe for disaster, but I'm fully on board with this. Tweet

The smooth R&B soul of Passion Pit comes oosing out on the new stomp-clap of a track, "Constant Conversations." This is a nice slower jam, and shows the versatility of the new album Gossamer. Look for the new album 7/24....

As Passion Pit 's July 24th release date for new album Gossamer inches closer, we're getting a better idea of what the album will sound like. "Constant Conversations" comes in as promotional single number 3, after lead single "Take A Walk" and its maximalist follow-up "I’ll Be Alright," and it's a smoldering slow-burner (in the only way Passion Pit can smolder and slow-burn) compared to the summer playfulness of the first two tracks.
