Held between July 27-29, Australia’s premier festival Splendour in the Grass will be returning to its spiritual home this year. After two years at the (much larger) Woodfordia Grounds in Queensland, 2012 will see the Winter Festival back at Belongil Fields, just out of the tourist haven of Byron Bay. The festival organizers are still working on another development, purpose-built for Splendour in the Grass, but this won’t be ready till next year. Australia's Splendour in the Grass festival has released the time table for the main stage acts is only a week away from launching one of the, if not the, biggest outdoor winter musical festivals in the southern hemisphere. This year, the long sought after return of the event to Byron Bay, NSW has materialized. The location was home to the festival for many years before they moved it to Queensford, Victoria due to restrictions at the Byron Bay location
