It seems like anything Danger Mouse touches, he turns to gold. The new " Rome " project is slated for release on May 17th and last night, Zane Lowe from Radio 1 played two tracks from the forthcoming album. For those that aren't aware, the album is Danger Mouse's interpretation of what it would have been like to score an old western flick with the likes of Clint Eastwood , John Wayne or Charles Bronson. The album was composed by Italian Daniele Luppi and Danger Mouse in Ennio Moriccone's Forum Studios in Rome. After all, Ennio [...]

Yesterday, we brought you the song "Black," a track from Danger Mouse & Daniele Luppi's forthcoming album, Rome , which is sung by Norah Jones. But today, it's safe to say we've got the much better song. Down below, thanks to Some Kind Of Awesome , you can check out Jack White's vocal contribution to the album with the song "Two Against One." The song can only be described as cool. White's vocals laid over an acoustic guitar riff and a haunting choir just makes me want to star in [...]

The official release date for Danger Mouse's collaboration with Italian composer Daniele Luppi is still over a month away— Rome will be released on May 17. You'll be able to pick these tracks up on Record Store Day , but the label is no doubt taking any plans to leak the songs into their own hands by making them available in this way. Both tracks suggest [...]
