So I just happened to be randomly checking how much all this year's ACL Pre-shows and Aftershows were going to cost (expensive by the way) and stumbled upon some great news! We Are Scientists will be returning to Austin to perform at Emo's on Oct. 28th. Seeing how we were so freaking busy during SXSW and didn't get to catch them in March, this is definitely a show we won't be missing. Tickets go on sale Saturday, Sept. 11th. Having just released their third studio album, We Are Scientists are back on the road, complete with a new drummer you may have heard of: Andy Burrows, who joined following his departure from Razorlight. Bassist Chris Cain is in a good place, enjoying the release of Barbara , making the most of a lifestyle that there's no denying he loves to bits, and bringing out just the slightest increase in maturity in the band's newer content. Just in time to head this way this coming weekend, where the Scientists will star on Oxegen's Green Spheres stage… [...]

I have been a fan of We Are Scientists since I was only 14 years old back in '05 when With Love And Squalor came out. So you can imagine that it was surreal for me to have the chance to interview the bands frontman, Keith Murray. Not only was he as funny as people say he is, he was also incredibly kind and easy to talk to. I'm a pretty shy guy, but I was able to talk to Keith very easily. This was my first phone interview for my blog (all past [...]

Let's talk about the new album Barbara . You got Andy [Burrows, drummer] from Razorlight on it; how did that happen? Chris Cain: I don't know how exactly we knew Andy, but we had met him just kind of on the tour circuit, probably at a festival or something and as anyone who's met Andy can attest he's one of the most agreeable dudes in the world, he instantly becomes your friend... and then you know talks you out of your money, but you're happy to hand it over to a gentleman like Andy. Just [...]

if there's no victim then there's no crime, just try another if you think we've crossed the line ♫ We Are Scientists - Rules Don't Stop We Are Scientists' 2005 debut, With Love And Squalor , was one of my favorites of the year with it's perfect blend of indie-rock, intellect, and danceability. However, 2008's Brain Thrust Mastery felt a bit sterile and lacked a lot of the spazzy energy of their debut. Well, Chris and keith are back with a new album, Barbara , and "Rules [...]
I've talked previously about my affinity for the first We Are Scientists album; it reminds me of not having much else to do than drink with my friends a few years back. I heard a few tracks from their second album, but there wasn't much that grabbed me, and I never ended up buying it. This [...]

We Are Scientists are back! Well, at least in music video form. The band is back with a new music video, "Nice Guys", off their upcoming release, Barbara. We Are Scientists are currently on tour in the UK but hopefully...
