Sublime new track by once upon a time ATCQ member Q-Tip. New LP 'The Renaissance' out 4th November. Personally I love the guy, one of the greatest MCs of all time IMO, nice to hear from him post Kamal the Abstract in times when 99% of hip-hop sucks goats.

I know, I know a lot of you with your old school feelings are fearful of this new album, or maybe you are like me and you're thinkin', "about time!" When Even If It's So "dropped" I was complaining that Kamaal wasn't droppin album style. Maybe I don't know what I am talkin about but I sure have been itchin' for a full length to actually roll out. So, after about a year of pushbacks, it seems that Q-Tip's new album is finally scheduled to come out on November 4th. Until it's available either on Amazon or in stores I ain't holding my breath. But in the meantime I have his new video to make me smile: And also, I'll be attending Day 1 of the Treasure Island Music Festival this Saturday. I have admittedly been sleeping on hip hip for 2008. Maybe its me or maybe I just haven't enjoyed much I've heard. The Common track had a great beat but the lyrics were so so. This is a pretty good track and I am excited about his forthcoming record The Renaissance album due November 4. Check out the video if you haven't gotten a chance to see it yet. Reminds me what I like about hip hop.
