Was Empire of the Sun mit den Bee Gees tun, macht Natasha Khan aka Bat for Lashes mit Kate Bush. What's a Girl To Do" erinnern. Nun ist die talantierte Dame zurück. Am 6. April erscheint ihr Zweitwerk "Two Suns".
Bat for Lashes ups the eerie factor even higher with this track from her upcoming sophomore album, Two Sons . "The Big Sleep" is a haunting duet with Scott Walker, supplied only with a bare bone backdrop of a piano and brief appearances by a bass and synthesizer. Khan's upper register is truly something beautiful, but the effect it has here is down right chilling. [...]

Bat For Lashes' excellent new album Two Sons has plenty gorgeous stuff on it. For instance, we showed you an earlier live incarnation of " Moon On Moon ." If I had to choose favorites, though, I'd point to those Chippendale drums and general windblown feel of opener " Glass ," the chilly, running-in-the-dark dance-floor love song "Daniel," and Natasha Khan's ghostly, spare "it's curtains down time" duet with Scott Walker, "The Big Sleep." Fittingly, the latter's the closer ... because (a) it's about saying goodbye and voices fading and (b) it would be difficult following up a [...]
