When you think Chris Clark you probably call to mind some frantic ADHD beats with rich looming harmonies. Since his first release, Clarence Park , in 2001 he’s carved himself a sonic identity which closely resembles an obsolete machine army furiously battling against the plush white defences of an angelic super computer. In short, he’s anomalous. So it’s surprising to find that Iradelphic comes across more like a lost Bibio record than any of Clark ’s recent material. Both ‘Tooth Moves’ and ‘The Pining Pt1’ could’ve been lifted straight from Ambivalence Avenue [...]

A while back we told you that British electronic musician Clark would be releasing his first new album in a few years called Iradelphic , and we brought you the single "Com Touch." Now that the album is only a couple of weeks from release ( Iradelphic comes out through Warp on April 3rd), we're getting our second taste of the album in the form of the Martina Topley Bird-assisted "Secret." This song is a lot catchier, thanks to the added vocals, and shows a different side to what Iradelphic could end up sounding [...]

Si vous avez suivi les news de Warp depuis ce début d'année vous avez pu remarquer l'annonce de l'album à venir de l'étrange Clark . Après avoir partagé Corn Mouth et The Pining pt.2 c'est au tour de Secret d'être dévoilé. Un secret bien gardé puisqu'il s'agit d'une collaboration avec Martina Topley-Bird fameuse collaboratrice de Massive Attack qui est venu pousser la chansonnette sur ce magnifique titre tout en douceur et en étrangeté, digne d'une balade électronique nocturne sur une planète inconnue. The third preview from Clark's Iradelphic album reinforces the point that this may be his most diverse album yet. 'The Pining Pt. 22 gave us an electronic clatter with a harpischord at its centrepiece and the arpegiatted '70s TV soundtrack sounding 'Com Touch' . 'Secret' meanwhile, flips it up again and goes for twisted brittle guitar-led ambiance featuring the vocal talents of Martina Topley-Bird (who is getting back to do some show with Tricky this year). Iradelphic is out on April 2nd on Warp.

Nunca me hubiera imaginado que Martina Topley-Bird habia colaborado en el nuevo material de Clark y bueno, primero que nada, si ustedes no ubican muy bien a Martina Topley-Bird por el nombre tal vez les caiga el veinte de quien es al mencionarles que ha sido una multiple colaboradore de actos como Tricky y Massive Attack donde por cierto, parece que este año se estara volviendo a unir a Tricky asi que... vienen grandes cosas para este mujer en los proximos meses pero por ahora, es momento de checar su aportacion [...]
