Uuri juutuubist. Esimest lugu soovitan eriti. Tobacco - Hairy Candy ( video Imeemis ) Tobacco - Backwoods Altar [...]
It is that time of year again to start the last making and reflect on the year that was and the year that will be. This year we are going to start small. The first list in the end of the year bash will be the best videos of the year. I picked 10 of my favorites with links right to youtubes. Enjoy. Bjork - Wanderlust Tobacco - Street Trash M83 - Graveyard Girl Jamie Lidell - Another Day [...]

Last year, Black Moth Super Rainbow's Tobacco issued a DVD titled Fucked Up Friends , suggesting what you should do (get fucked up) and who you should do it with while watching. This week Fucked Up Friends is out on record, without the visuals, although being at Merc in extreme darkness while the masked man did his thing to screen projections tying Dom DeLuise to porn to '80s aerobics videos was as ass-shaking and spellbinding an hour I've had all week. A passing familiarity with BMSR's head trip/psych-hop Pennsylvania jams sets the scene for Fucked Up [...]
Tobacco's "Street Trash" Brighton whisper-crooners Fujiya & Miyagi (9pm) take the most well-worn krautrock tropes and the least interesting parts of Clinic and turn it into a cold, mildly danceable shrug about dishwashers and encyclopedias and stuff—the type of art-damaged band who would have a name no one can remember and then put it in a song anyway. Better to stick with opener Tobacco (8pm), who has all the sepia-toned vocoder bongwater of his band Black Moth Super Rainbow, but with a hip-hop edge. CMJ show with Who Made Who (7pm). — [...]

Everybody's favorite psychedelic soundsmith is back again with a new video from his new album Fucked Up Friends . It's for the track Street Trash and as expected it's a little bizarre and quite possibly not safe for work. Take a look if you can: mp3: Tobacco - Street Trash In other Tobacco news the folks over at The Hood Internet have put out a new little 7 track wonder for free download called The Hood Internet vs Tobacco & Aesop Rock . You can get [...]

Last Wednesday I made it just in time to catch the beginning of this phenomenal set. I may not be able to really get into Wolf Parade , but I love this Spencer Krug project. They tried out some new ones and even played a "cover" from an upcoming Swan Lake album (although I didn't get a video of that). Check out some of the set:
We love us some Black Moth Super Rainbow ...fo'realzzzzzzz. Lead singer, Tobacco , is releasing his debut solo album, F***ed Up Friends , this October 14th and here is the album's first video. P4K premiered this last week, but we wanted to make sure you didn't miss it. Also, be sure to catch Tobacco at CMJ on October 22 with Fujiya & Miyagi. Tobacco - Truck Sweat [...]
The masked front man of Black Moth Super Rainbow has some fucked up friends. Among them is Aesop Rock, who lends his vocals to the track "Dirt" on Tobacco's appropriately titled October 14th release Fucked Up Friends . The people at The Hood were so inspired by this collaboration, not only did they supply a remix for the song, they've compiled a complete mixtape dedicated to it. Dropping on Anticon in two weeks, you can hear the original of "Dirt" below, then take a moment to download the entire mixtape (technically [...]

You know Tobacco well. As a member of the genre-flaying space-collagists Black Moth Super Rainbow , he masterminded one of last year's finest records, 'Dandelion Gum' . But under the Tobacco banner, the work this pastiche-adoring Pennsylvanian creates is darker, starker and altogether more badass, filled with jagged beats, glowing melodies and pronounced tension. His debut, 'F***ed Up Friends' , is due October 14th, 2008 via Anticon Records, and has already won a boatload of praise from the likes of XLR8R, who're currently featuring a Tobacco-helmed podcast entitled "Songs [...]

("Tobacco - Street Trash", HD premiere at P4K ) Tobacco of the Black Moth Super Rainbow 's has a solo album coming out and he's been dropping straight fire to hype the October 14th release. If you're a fan of BMSR then you'll most likely fall in love with Tobacco as well. After hearing "Dirt" and "Truck Sweat" it's easy to tell his role in BMSR, but his solo work has an extra edge to it. It feels like, I don't even know, just... All sorts of breaks and analogues and [...]
