Phantom Planet has unveiled its summer tour schedule to thump up some support for the California-based band's just-released label debut, Raise The Dead . The headline dates will kick off on July 8th at Seattle, Washington's El Corazon, with additional stops in Seattle, Portland, and Orangevale, California. Next, Phantom Planet will pair up with Paramore (eek) for the "The Final RIOT – Paramore Summer Tour '08," beginning on July 29th at Henderson, Nevada's Henderson Pavilion. A long time ago, in a galaxy not so far away, a band named Phantom Planet was a simple emo-styled power pop band lead by Alex Greenwald and with actor Jason Schwartzman playing drums. Then they got pop fame and fortune with the single "California" on the TV show, the O.C. and then somewhere along the way the major label dumped them and four years later it brings us to "Raise The Dead."
