Generally lumped into the "Indie-Folk" category, Slow Club manage to not just fill two pigeon holes, but between six and two. Maybe the holes are small so some of their pigeon-hole fat just spills over into the next pigeon-holes, occupied by Dexy's or Mel and Kim. Whilst they certainly do fall into the Folk and Indie genres, they're also quirky, upbeat, joyous, and foot-tappingly contagious. Their warm, countrified folk-pop and playground lyrics may sometimes drift through the looking glass into the land of Twee, but have you seen the weather? It's July and it rains every day.
