Beach House made a splash in the music world this year and ended up making many people's top lists for album of the year.  Unfortunately, they won't be making a stop in Minneapolis on their upcoming tour but have plenty of more stops along the way for our readers outside of the great state of Minnesnowta.  If you haven't yet given these guys a listen I suggest you do so.  You will not be disappointed.  Check out the music video for "Lazuli" below for a sample of their great sound. Beach House will be coming to Cincy's Bogart's on April 25, 2013.  It is the last day of their announced tour dates, so we are still holding on hope that a Louisville date may show up after.  I'm sure they picked up some more fans at Forecastle X.  That said, I'll drive up to Cincy to catch Beach House anytime.  No ticket info yet, but we'll be checking the Bogart's link above.  In the meantime, check out this video from their new album, Bloom, and all of the tour dates below. What a song!

The stunning dream pop of BEACH HOUSE 's 'Lazuli,' as described HERE , with its sci-fi, sound-effectish keyboard introduction is beautifully complimented by a retro cum space-age film clip. Think pastel kitchen and explosive eggs juxtaposed against grim junkyard chic, morphing into futuristic triangular graphics. A girl in a sundress spasm-dancing in front of a static TV (not of the plasma variety) is juxtaposed against a red-nosed drunk in a dingy pub wandering zombie-like into a George Lucas landscape towards a burning bright light. "Lazuli” is great. The song is beautiful, layered and ethereal and unquestionably deep. Is it extra terrestrially deep? No. Does a dumb video for the song make me question how great Beach House is? read more

So many times we fall behind for things that are out of our control. Other times it's because we're working extra hard.
