And timely is such, that a new single and video have emerged from the Mercury Music Prize nominated album "We Can Create" . The Maps are playing at San Francisco's 'The Bottom of the Hill' on Sep 24 2007. That's a week from this Monday! On their myspace profile they have a long list of influences. Something I admire and welcome. I think too many bands put nothing out of fear of being accused of ripping someone off or perhaps pretentiousness. I think the pros are much greater than the cons.
