Oberhofer 's new video for 'Cruising FDR' takes advantage of Brooklyn's position as the Land of Hipsters and trippy cutaway shots to make a mini film about...escaping a zombie apocalypse. Yes, you read that right. Kind of strange, especially the ending, considering how sunny and beachy the song is: really the perfect thing to crank up to 11 while driving round this summer. It was two weeks ago that Oberhofer were to have played Hudson Park River Rocks show with The Soft Pack when that damn dechero messed everything up with its high winds, sheets of rain and low-hanging ominous cloud formations most of us had only ever seen in Ghostbusters . Oberhofer la ha estado pasando tremendamente bien desde la aparicion de "Time Capsules II", asi que me parece que no es ninguna sorpresa que en estos momentos ya esten haciendo videos como "Cruisin' Down FDR", sin mencionar la enorme participacion que han estado teniendo dentro de algunos de los festivales mas importantes al rededor del mundo en este 2012. D elightfully poppy indie-rockers Oberhofer have put out a video for their slacker friendly track "Cruisin FDR" off their newest album Time Capsules II, which was one record this year that really surprised me.  It's a wonderful effort & a ton of fun to listen to. Check out the video for "Cruisin FDR," which boasts the guys trying to cruise the town, but are interrupted by a horde of flesh eating zombies, all in vintage VHS off-tracking style. Buy [...]

We haven't heard much from indie outfit Oberhofer this year other than their amazing cover of Kanye West's "Runaway", but now they have a new video for their song "Crusin FDR". The video is all kinds of awesome, with some cool green-screen and artifacting effects giving it a unique visual style. On top of that, we've got the band driving around in a sweet ride, zombie attacks, rainbow puke, and black holes. What more could you want? Check it out above.

Consistently with the feeling of self-derision and light-heartedness I highlighted as the main feature of Oberhofer 's album Time Capsules II ,  the joyful posse of youngster gives us humor-laden and kitch visuals for their upbeat track " Cruisin' FDR ". Bathed in an ambiance of biting irony conveyed by newbie 90s pixelized neon special effects – somewhat reminiscent of some of MGMT’s visuals - the video features the band getting attacked by face painted zombies eating frozen pork chops from Whole Foods before they all jump through a space-time portal. In the video for Oberhofer's cheery indie-pop bounce "Cruisin' Down FDR," the band attempts to have an awesome muscle-car bro-down session, but things keep getting in the way: Digital distortion, flesh-eating zombie hordes, interdimensional vortexes, neon vomit. We've heard a few things from Oberhofer this year so far, including a tight cover of Kanye West 's "Runaway" , but judging by their new video for "Cruisin FDR" they must've been making a few bucks because this is exactly what happens to the rich. The OBERHOFER 's new video has zombies, classic cars, raw meat and rainbow puke. Exactly like how thangs are when I go CRUISIN FDR .

Those times the living dead mess up an easy summer drive.
