We're very excited to announce that Summerscreen 2009 continues tonight, Wednesday July 15th with a screening of EVIL DEAD 2 . This year the films are screening on the blacktop in McCarren Park just above North 12th street (between Bedford Ave and Berry St) in Williamsburg. Come early and bring a blanket or a chair to sit on while you enjoy live music, delicious food from local vendors--including DUB Pies, San Loco and Van Leeuwen ice cream--not to mention beer and wine from Six Points Brewery and Wine Australia! As you're surely aware of by now, next Tuesday is my first (and hopefully not last)  Babystew Presents event at DC9, featuring Fredericksburg's Tereu Tereu , Nashville's The Deep Vibration , Chapel Hill's Roman Candle , and Brooklyn's Motel Motel . I'm unbelievably excited for this show not just because it's my first, but because of how legitimately great this lineup is.
