Rage Against the Machine toujours énervé. Rage Against the Machine n'a rien perdu de sa verve : Bulls on Parade + Killing in the Name of . Rage vidéo . là. [...]
Rage Against The Machine took to St. Paul/Minneapolis to perform outside the RNC last week, but were stopped by police. Rather than simply pack up and go home, Rage addressed the crowd and peformed "Pocket Full of Shells" with a bullhorn and Tom Morello on the waa-waa-chika-waa-waas...Very dope.

Anti Flag rouses the crowd with their hard-hitting punk sound Photos by Justin Andert The Ripple Effect started out as a peaceful, oppression free day of propelling a new wave of action outside of the RNC on the lawn of Minnesota's State Capitol in St. Paul. There was a full day of artists who preached ideals of peace, love, unity, and reform. Check out a photo album of the day: Chris #2 (Barker) sings in front [...]

Rage Against the Machine (and their fans) have been extra busy this week at the Republic National Convention and doing just like their name said they would: they're "raging" against the "machine." The protests began Tuesday, Sept. 2, when the band attempted to play on the lawn outside of St. Paul's capitol building. Police quickly pulled [...]
After Rage Against the Machine 's show got shut down in Minneapolis thanks to the Republican National Convention, the band led a peaceful rally with thousands of their fans, doing a cappella renditions of Bulls On Parade and Killing In the Name Of . And someone got the whole thing on video, of course.
When Rage Against The Machine attempted to play a left wing rally at the Republican National Convention this week, local authorities weren't so sure it was a good idea and shut the show down. While a proper permit was reason enough to ensure Rage couldn't play a real show, the band responded by holding a breakout a cappella session.
This is ugly. Rage Against the Machine was meant to give a "surprise performance" at the Ripple Effect Day Festival yesterday, but were barred from the stage by state troopers. The Minneapolis/Saint Paul Star Tribune quoted an official claiming RAtM were prohibited from performing because they were not included on the festival's permit, however the Ripple Effect website reports that the permit "held no artist-specific provisions." In an inspired moment, Zach de la Racho and Tom Morello entered the crown and performed a capella versions of "Bulls on Parade" and "Killing in the Name" complete with Morello "playing" [...]
CSS - "MOVE" I am strangely drawn into this video--most youtube embedded musik vids are only worth 5-20 seconds of ur time. The song is OKAY, but I am pretty drawn into Lovefoxxx's delivery style/what she is wearing. Is she a good singer/does that matter? I feel like this music video should have been an unmemorable late90s video from a foreign band. <3 polaroid vans <3 <3 Friends who u can take zany pix with <3 <3 van crashes with vans full of alt celebs <3 <3 [...]
Rage Against the Machine where set to give a rare performance at Target Center in Minneapolis on Sept. 3, which not so coincidentally was the same week as the Republican National Convention in St. Paul. But the band arrived close to the 7 p.m. curfew time and without a proper permit, so police would not let them perform. This, as you would expect, resulted in a few disgruntled fan in the crowd and a chant of "fuck you I won't do what you tell me" When it became clear they they where not going to be allowed [...]
Which is the better a cappella group: world-music purveyors Yeasayer, or world-class fuckheads Rage Against The Machine? You tell me. God damn , do I hate Rage Against The Machine. Buy Yeasayer (it's a pretty darn good album) Buy Rage Posted by Glenn
Rage Frontman, Zack De La Rocha works his way into the crowd at the RNC event Photos by Justin Andert It has been a whirlwind here at Above the Fold since about 6:45 p.m. last evening. We posted our exclusive full video of Rage Against the Machine's unplugged/in crowd/impromptu performance and speeches. Now we have more coverage for you. Rage discusses which song to perform acapella in crowd [...]
Photos by Jon Behm Those concerned that Rage Against the Machine + Republican National Convention = nothing but trouble can rest a little easier, at least for now. While the band won't take the stage for its big proper gig at the Target Center in Minneapolis until tonight, a daytime performance yesterday (September 2) on the lawn of the Minnesota State Capitol went down relatively chaos-free-- mainly because it [...]
Today we finally get to know what a crowd of people doing a cappella versions of Zack de la Rocha's protest songs sounds like. It goes something like "bow-bow-bow-bow-chikka-chikka -chikka." RATM turned up in St. Paul to perform a short set at 6:30PM yesterday as part of the Ripple Effect music festival, set on the lawn of the Minnesota State Capitol building. As the Star Tribune reports, though, "the band arrived close to the 7 p.m. curfew time and without a proper permit, so police would not let it perform." (The Tribune goes on to quote an [...]
Yesterday, a free Rage Against the Machine show outside of the Minnesota state capitol in St. Paul that was scheduled to coincide with the Republican National Convention—which is taking place in that city—was shut down by local police, who claimed that the band couldn't play because it was going to take the stage too close to the show's 7 p.m. curfew, and besides, Zack de la Rocha and his pals didn't have the proper permits to perform, even though the rest of the festival apparently went on without incident. This year's RNC, like the ones in 2000 and 2004, has [...]
While most democrats were avoiding The Republican National Convention like a plague this week, the fellas from Rage Against the Machine headed up to Minnesota to do what they do best -- cause controversy. The politically charged foursome were set to perform just outside of the RNC yesterday, but were blocked from taking the stage by the Minnesota State Police. In pure bad-ass form, the band used the opportunity to address their fans with an informed rant followed by an a capella sing along. Above the Fold caught it all on tape:
As dead prez finished a great set,the rumors spread that Rage Against The Machine would make a surprise appearance at the State Capitol,St.Paul Minnesota at the Ripple Effect event to protest the RNC convention show. They showed up, the police shut them down by dying the production crew to have any sound. Armed with only a megaphone, and thousands of fans, RATM played a 10 min acapella set of "Bulls on Parade" and "Killing in the Name of" , swiped from Switchblade Comb .
