A while back I discovered a nice series of online music downloads from Levi's — now I get marketed some footwear to go with my jeans. A series of 10 songs (and videos) sponsored by Dr. Martens (happy 50th birthday) includes some pretty cool covers, including this one by the Raveonettes (even if the video is a bit cloying). The alternative rock sound of this Danish duo mixed with the one of a kind video concept which involves an old lady and a young one meeting and doing stuff together. Dr Martens 50th Anniversary is now on release 8 of 10 contemporary re-workings of cult classics. Este año la marca de zapatillas Dr. Martens cumplió 50 años de existencia y, tal como lo hizo previamente Converse o Levi's , convocó a artistas de la escena independiente para gritarlo a los cuatro vientos. 10 bandas fueron invitadas a realizar covers de canciones clásicas e influenciadoras de su sonido, y 10 directores fueron invitados a realizar videos para éstos. Danish alternative band the Raveonettes have released a cover of the Stone Roses' "I Wanna Be Adored" in order to celebrate 50 years of Dr. Martens.

Two weekends ago, we provided you with "I Wanna Be Adored" as our Sunday Morning listen. Now you can hear Danish duo the Raveonettes cover the Stone Roses to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the popular punk shoe company Dr. Martens.  You can download the song at the shoe brand's official website .  The song's video shows an unusual relationship develop between two woman of very different ages.  Watch it below:

To celebrate their 50th Anniversary, Dr Martens asked 10 artists to record their version of a cult classic track which represents the spirit of the people who've worn DM's over the past 50 years. Una de mis canciones favoritas de toda la vida y supongo que de muchos ustedes también. "I Wanna Be Adored", original de los Stone Roses fue objeto de un cover por parte de los Raveonettes , celebrando el 50 aniversario de las Dr. Martens . ¡Eso es tener presupuesto!  También trabajaron con otras bandas como los Black Rebel Motorcycle Club haciendo un cover a The Pogues , la neta medio me valen madres, pero creo que el cover a los Stone Roses está muy chingon, enjoy!

In an odd, and ballsy, turn of events noise-pop duo The Raveonettes take on Stone Roses classic "I Wanna Be Adored" for Dr. Martens. It turned really smooth and reverberated just like you'd expect.
