Video: HEALTH - DIE SLOW

The second offering from L.A. caps lock worriers HEALTH sets about proving that the boys can sit still long enough to write something that lasts beyond the one minute mark and manage to keep things interesting and perhaps even shake off the feeling that they are just an attention deficient, Yellow Pack version of Liars . A tall order one would think, but luckily Get Color is a pumped-up, defiant piece of work ready to disregard previous notions and take on all-comers. The more danceable " Die Slow " seemed to win over a number of people who once considered HEALTH a bunch of formless noisemakers. Which was a bit of a surprise. They indeed promised a few curve balls (like a ballad) in their Get Color Progress Report , but to these ears the hardworking Trent Reznor-approved BTW have always lodged a tribalist dance beat (and some ghostly balladeering) within their shadowy, feedbacking atmospherics. (Something brought even more to the fore via the various remixes ). We still haven't heard the entire sophomore [...]
