Beach House had a tough act to follow after the Walkmen opened the 2012 Summer Twilight Concert series in support of their new album Heaven, which has been getting much praise for good reason. What almost appeared to be a last minute soundcheck, Paul Maroon (lead guitar) quietly walked on stage playing guitar, often crossing his legs and making slow motions to the rhythm. Following shortly, Hamilton Leithauser (vocals,guitar) took stage and began singing "Line by Line." It was perfect. The Walkmen released another new video for The Love You Love from their latest LP, Heaven . The black and white clip was directed by Sean Pecknold and shows a somewhat creepy kid surveying a house filled with cat figurines. Watch below.

The Walkmen's latest album Heaven has been one of my favorites of the year and will probably rank pretty high on our year end list. Now, one of the standout tracks, "The Love You Love," just got the visual treatment in black and white. Some creepy-ass kid is on patrol at an empty house filled with cat figurines. In a big day for song debuts, Passion Pit released a third track off their upcoming album Gossamer , due out July 24 via Columbia Records. The Walkmen just premiered a new music video for the track "The Love You Love" via the Urban Outfitters blog as part of their UO Video Series. It was directed by Sean Pecknold, who has created videos for his brother Robin Pecknold's band Fleet Foxes as well as Here We Go Magic, Grizzly Bear, Beach House, and Elvis Perkins. You can catch The Walkmen perform in Philly next on October 6 at the Electric Factory with The War on Drugs .

Apparently creepy waving glass cats do not shatter on impact like tea cups and small saucer dishes do. That's just one of the neat take aways from this new Walkmen video. Directed by Sean Pecknold, the visuals open with reverse footage of fragile items being smashed upon the top of an old wooden picture tube television case. Initially "Jerry Jr.'s Tune" plays softly in the background. Then suddenly a teflon feline enters the picture, and shortly after proving unbreakable, the real fun kicks off as things then transition into "The Love You Love." Enjoy it below.

With a new album on the shelves, The Walkmen decided to release some visuals for their track "The Love You Love" to go along with it. And just like the album Heaven , the video contains a very dark and eery presence splashed in with a few highlights and accents that have made The Walkmen so recognizable in the indie rock scene today and over the last decade or so.
