Video: New Universal Logo - Logo's Through Time - 100th Anniversary (2012) HD

In celebration of its 100 years of making movies, Universal has decided to update its logo, which technically debuts ahead of The Lorax , but can seen above. It's not anything radically different than what's come before it. It's also a nice reminder how one can be emotionally connected to a movie studio logo that plays before a movie. There's just something about the spinning globe, the grandiose music - that fanfare, you know? Really, only 20th Century Fox and maybe Dreamworks produces that same breathtaking emotional anticipation of going to the movies. [...]
