Kwes is an artist/producer you'll want to keep tabs on. Just the other week Pitchfork did an interview with him (read here ) and the UK singer/producer is bound to keep getting more notice. Like some of the big boys in the music industry ( Kanye ), Kwes started with producing an remixing songs, but decided to take the lead in his experimental/pop/R&B sound. London producer, musician and general tunesmith Kwes has got an EP on the way. Meantime is out on April 30 via Warp and you can listen below to a track from it – the soulful electronic pop of Bashful .

This is so good. Check out "Bashful", the new single from the rising London singer/producer Kwes . His new EP, entitled "Meantime", will be released on May 1st via Warp Records , and will feature four tracks, which Kwes describes as "pop music without limitations or expectations, free to incorporate his equal love of R&B, house, soul, pop and disco." Kwes, the newest signee to the renown Warp Records, takes the time to drop off a new track with the announcement of his forthcoming EP. Called "Bashful", the song flexes Kwes' ability to intertwine catchy hooks with some left-of-center instrumentation. The single will land on the Meantime EP, which suggests their is much more to come from this promising artist who has collaborated with Speech Debelle, Romy Madley of the XX and more. Meantime EP is due out May 1 via Warp.

A couple of months ago Kwes announced that he'd be releasing a new EP this May called Meantime , which would be his debut release for Warp records.
