There is another great show coming to the Cincinnati area, and we want to make sure you check it out. Interpol are returning to Cincinnati in a couple weeks after having a May show cancelled after the band decided to instead play a run of shows opening for U2. The show is slated for July 6th at Bogarts and as a nice bonus, Asobi Seksu are opening the show. Two quality bands for the price of....well...nothing. We have a handful of tickets to give away here on ENS, and we really [...]

Interpol has a long career spanning since 1997. They are credited with being one of the forerunners of the post-punk revival coming out of New York City. Many of their albums have claimed #1 on many charts including Pitchfork Media's Top 50 Albums of 2002. Interpol knows the business and knows music. However, can their new album, "Interpol" hold up their credibility and name? Many other review sources have noted that Interpol is still holding steady with "Interpol". Others are saying that Interpol has lost their foundation. I suppose this debate is up to the real Interpol [...]
[Birthday greetings to the Meat Puppets' Cris Kirkwood, who hits the big 5-0 today. Take it from an old blogger, ain't nothing but a number.] Top 3 big darn deals this weekend if you aren't into Shakira: ☛ Black-dressed post-punkers Interpol visit the Greek Theatre on Saturday. Maybe they can change weather patterns. ☛ Monster Massive - the dance conflagration featuring DJ talent such as John Digweed, Carl Cox, Moby, Steve Lawler, Pete Tong, Gareth Emery, Judge Jules, [...]
Aiming for atmospheric grandeur, NYC's post-punk revival kings instead end up with aimless sprawl on their fourth album. One of the defining indie rock bands of the new millennium, Interpol has never really been as great as that reputation suggests. Despite being the recipient of effusive phrase from critics and hipsters throughout its decade-plus career, Interpol's work has always been constrained by three key flaws: limited instrumental technique, frequently clumsy lyrics ("The subway is a porno", anyone?), and what I call the Oasis Effect -- that is, like the Britpop kings with their...
nterpols latest album "INTERPOL" is available to stream in its entirety over on their Myspace page. The band recently released a video for the single "Barricade", which was directed by Moh Azima and shot at Floyd Bennett Field in Brooklyn.
I'll admit this isn't my favorite Interpol song ever, but I still like it just fine. "Lights", on the other hand , is the tune that really stoked my fire for the new (self-titled) album. It comes out September 7th on Matador. After one album on Capitol Records, the NY band returns to the label where they produced their two best records. (And, for the record, I was one of the few who thoroughly enjoyed Our Love To Admire .) And even though Carlos D isn't with the band anymore, don't - don't [...]

Just a week before the new Interpol record is unleashed to the American public at large and the band continue their quest for global domination. In the meantime, allow me to do my part in helping the band reach their goal by featuring the video for the new single Barricade. As much as I loved Lights for its nod to the Turn On The Bright Lights sound, one would not be incorrect to deem this as perhaps the most accessible Interpol track to date. At the very least, it's the most pop-friendly track since [...]
This sweet jam is, "Barricade," off of Interpol's self titled album, set to be released September 7th. The video is really nothing special but, how can you top the craziness of the "Lights" music video?
Það bíða margir spenntir eftir nýjustu plötu Interpol sem kemur út þann 7. næsta mánaðar. Platan hefur auðvitað þegar lekið á vefinn og eflaust einhverjir sem hafa halað henni niður ófrjálsri hendi. Við hin sem ætlum að bíða og fá gripinn með löglegum hætti getum reynt að auðvelda okkur biðina með því að horfa á myndböndin tvö sem sem sveitin hefur sent frá sér við fyrstu smáskífur plötunnar. Interpol - Barricade Interpol - Lights [...]

Interpol finally have a new video for 'Barricade', the second single off the highly anticipated LP ‘Interpol’, which is slated for release on September 7th, through matador. To pre-order head over to matador's site. In this video (Directed by Moh Azima) Paul Banks has his head projected onto various different bodies (Random). As for the rest of the band they mostly play their instruments in a field (Random) a complete contrast to their previous video for 'Lights' which you can see here.

New York City rockers Interpol , whose upcoming album has been leaked on the internet for awhile now, have released a video behind its second single, Barricade . Called "both salacious and kinda sterile," the video features singer Paul Banks’ face superimposed on bare bodies, while the rest of the band stands in the desert scrubland. Hmmm. How very U2 , circa 1985. In spite of the leaks, the album will be released on September 7; it'll be around on CD, LP or on a double 12-inch 45 record.
Interpol have a new self-titled album this September and now they have released a new creepy video for one of the tracks on the album this time it is for the song 'Barricade'. This video was directed by Moh Azima. The band says that they show the video at Floyd Bennet...
