I'm not sure what exactly this new Blood Diamonds ' track has to do with "Phone Sex," but this poppy-electro track featuring Grimes is starting to get around. The single version will be released July 16 (via 4AD ) in the UK, but you can check it out below.

Vancouver producer and video game designer Mike Tucker is better known by his moniker Blood Diamonds , and the R&B-infused dance pop he creates is captivating in every sense of the word. His first single from his forthcoming debut LP What is titled "Phone Sex" and features another Vancouver talent, Grimes . The song sees her singing amidst a Caribbean-influenced dance soundscape that is hard not to repeated over and over. Today just got a whole lot better. " We wanted to do a big pop song and wrote it in my bedroom in a night. I played the track later that week at a Blood Diamonds show with Claire as the secret guest. It was ridiculous. We wore LED glasses and projected the PS2 game “Rez” onto a mise-en-scène of “Twin Peaks”, whilst performing on a slippery stage due to the opening act (ice skaters on fake ice dancing to a David Lynch cover orchestra).
