Af því að það er svo sumarlegt veður úti núna, í það minnsta hér í Reykjavík þar sem ég er staddur, þá er vel við hæfi að fá sólskins-sumarpopp alla leið frá Recife í Brasilíu. Nafnið Radio De Outono er að mér skilst portúgalska og þýðir 'Útvarp Haustsins". Illu heilli þá hætti sveitin störfum áður en hún náði nokkrum vinsældum, en jafnvel í Brasilíu er hún svo til óþekkt. Tónlistina skilgreindu þau sem indie-rokk blandað einhverju sem heitir Jovem Guarda , en það er tónlistarstefna sem átti [...]

Além da razão – Rádio de Outono Again! While not perfect, it sure is catchy. All i found out without learning Portuguese is that they haven't released anything since this self titled mini album, their website 4042s, they don't have a guitar player, i have to check out this Jovem Guarda thing, and they made a video for this song, confirming just how clean cut and handsome you would expect them to be.

There's a saying in Iceland that seldom is a good poem too often recited. Thus I'd like to draw the reader's attention once more to the excellent Brazilian band Radio de Outono. Fyrst maður er á annað borð kominn til Brasilíu, þá er ekki úr vegi að kíkja aðeins til borgarinnar Recife í norð-austurhluta landsins og heimsækja hljómsveitina Radio de Outono. Nafnið ku þýða Útvarp Haustins, eða eitthvað í þá áttina. Tónlistin er popprokk undir áhrifum frá stefnum sem kallast Jovem Guarda sem ku vera brasilísk tónlistarstefna sem fór mikinn á seinni hluta sjötta áratugarins og einkennist af barnalegum textum og tyggjókúlumelódíum, er mér sagt.
